[Pro] Added one h1 tag and Fwy uploaded my entire site

I just upgraded to 6 Pro, did some formatting changes, and uploaded the entire site. All went well.

Then I created just one h1 tag and put it on just one page, clicked the Upload, and again it started to upload the ENTIRE site. Did I do something wrong? (I’m pretty low-tech).

Adding a style like that means it gets added to every page.

If you watch your list of pages in the sidebar when you do it you will see that every page name gets the • next to it indicating that the page has been ‘dirtied’ and will be uploaded.

Thanks, Dave. So do I understand, then, that if I want to create a bunch of personalized styles (h1, h2, bolditalicunderline, etc.), I should do that all at once, so I don’t end up uploading the entire website every time I add a new custom tag?

Yes - unless you want the pain.

You should actually think about your styles early in the design process.

Thanks, Dave, for the help.

At age 70 and fairly low-tech, I’m finding Freeway 6 Pro far too complex for me. The problem named above, the new learning curve for styles, problems (at least for me) with the 6 Pro Indent function, et al., are too much for me to tackle at this point in life.

I’ve switched back to the familiar 6.1.2 Express and am quite happy with it. It has a more “familiar” feel. Again, thanks for graciously offering your advice. I may be back on from time to time looking for help with Express 6.1.2.

Pro is only more complex if you want it to be - you can treat it like Express if you like.
