[Pro] Adding access to web pages for client review.

I’m trying to figure out how to create and upload pages where clients can review comps of web pages. Can that be done through one of my websites on my present host, Machighway? If so I’m not sure where it would reside in the ftp directory. I am assuming the final address would look something like - Easy Website Builder | Web Hosting Included | Ownwebsite.com Files/Client Name/Page 1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know the specifics of Machighway hosting but if they are running cPanel (or similar) there is a feature called Password Protect Directories which allows you to create folders on your server and assign them user/password combinations to restrict access.

So you would create the folder structure you suggest ie server.com/clients/client1, server.com/clients/client2 etc and assign user/pass to client1 and client2

Then while you are building a site you can use the server path in your upload settings such as public_html/clients/client1, or maybe httpdocs/clients/client1 (depending on server configuration)

When the site is ready to go live then all you do is change the upload settings to that of your clients site.
