Drag and drop a sound file onto your FW page.

Thanks Dave,
I was not very clear – I need it to play continuously in a loop through the entire site and not play on the contact page. Can it be an MP3 file from iTunes or must it be something else?

Cant be done as a continuous loop throughout the site unless you put your whole site in a frameset - which is not advisable as it is V bad for SEO Karma
That is not strictly true - it is just V difficult!
Besides - that sort of thing puts visitors right off.
MP3s are fine though.

Thanks Dave,
I’m working with Freeway Pro only in the visual design mode and not with code. So does dropping the sound onto the visual page work and if so or not, where do I drop or place it?

You can drop it wherever you want and it will create a Play/pause button etc for you - then you can put it in your layout wherever suits.
It is important that you offer your visitors an obvious OFF switch so dont hide it away. If they cant turn it off then they will head off to someone else’s site.
And keep your file size small.
Alternatively there is the Background Sound action that is applied to your Page using Page>Page Actions>Background Sound.
A word of caution when using this one - there is no OFF switch and you can guarantee that this will send folk running - never to return!

Yes certainly. Also, there’s another approach you can try which will give you the constant soundtrack – use Spawn New Window to open a small, sized music player window containing the sound file, and set it to auto-play there. Then in your page put a Play The Music While I Browse button on your regular page. And seriously, not to be cruel, but look at the stats for how many people press it.
