[Pro] Animated gifs being corrupted on upload

I’m trialling Freeway PRO, and one problem I have is that the animated gif - from Fireworks - on my site is being corrupted by Freeway in that certain pixels do not render correctly after upload or in preview.
Dreamweaver does not have this problem with the same file.
Also, the 800k file goes up to around 1.3Mb after Freeway has uploaded it.
Any ideas?

Try adding these images as pass-through rather than regular graphics. Either import your image into an HTML box, or click the Pass-through checkbox in the Import dialog when you select it.

Thanks for your help.
Perfect! Importing into a HTML box worked.

Now, to be fair, Freeway shouldn’t be corrupting anything. One of my favorite demo tricks is to composite an animated GIF with a JPEG (let Freeway merge them) and then preview and you’ll see that the animated part is still animated. Used to knock them dead at the Macworld booth! Freeway’s image composition engine is quite amazing. So you should send a copy of this file (the animated GIF and a one-page Freeway document illustrating the bug) off to support(a)softpress.com, where they will get the scalpels and bone-saws out and figure out WHY.
