[Pro] Anti-Spam vs Feedback Form

Hi all, I’ve been using Tim Plumb’s anti-spam action for about six years now, to great effect if my absence of spam mail is to bear witness!

Now with the revamp of all my sites, and a new host that supports php (thanks for evicting me Apple!), I have the option of using the “Feedback Form” approach.

Is there a compelling reason to change from “mail to” links to a form?

If so, is the “spam trap” in the feedback form good enough or do I run Anti Spam as well as a kind of catch-all?

Thanks,

P

I’ve had good luck with the spam trap in the php fed back form.

No reason not to use both.

My answer would really be that the PHPFF action allows you to collect more structured information but if you just want an initial contact then it may not be necessary.

Thanks, I have set up my site with both for now!

As a belts and braces measure, the Form “failure” page has a “mailto” link in it! (I do believe that’s quite illogical, but heck… one only lives once!)

Cheers,
