[Pro] Apple Mail

Hello, Is there a way to save a freeway page in a format that AppleMail can use as an email stationary?

There is more than one way to present a page to email clients.

Do you want to send the page and artwork etc to everyone or just send the html portion that will open in Apple mail as long as the person is on the internet?

Using webpages from any source can be a little tricky. I am sure others will chime in soon but I have found some clients (not Apple Mail.app) need the locations of webpage components spelled out directly and not implied. ie you can’t have items just listed like my-pic.png would fail but domain.com/images/my-pic.png will work like a charm.

And sometimes it is just easiest to make the page you want and then open up the index.html file in Text Wrangler and do a a hand coding to get the desired results. I have a client that does one or two mass emails a month and this is how they get everything to show up on all email clients and they are using an ancient version of Freeway.

Remember do some testing before you send it to clients and remember just because Apple Mail works does not mean gmail, yahoo mail or any other will work so practice practice practice.

The easiest way is if you make the design in FW, upload the page and resources to a live server (preferably in a subfolder) and then access that page via your Safari Browser and then go to File > Mail Contents of this Page. Apple Mail will load up and you can then send away.

Now, I would also recommend what Dale is saying here but start with Outlook 2007. That is the worst email client ever made, but people use it. I know the market share is getting smaller, but if it works in Outlook 2007 you pretty much have a good start at it looking ok in other clients.

After re-reading your post, HA I thought it was on HTML emails. For stationary you can Google search and find some results:

gmail, yahoo and aol were some of my customers biggest problems. It seemed like web browsers did not do as good of a job as email clients.
