On a website there are some reservation forms. How can I make that, on submitting, the user receives an automatic email response confirmation to his just typed email address?
Grazie mille!
You might want to investigate that handler script and see if this is a
regular option you can enable. It’s a common enough request that I
would imagine you could get formmail to do this for you.

Just in case your interested this is an option the PHP easiForm action has under the ‘Advanced’ mode.
By default the user gets this confirmation ‘as if’ coming from his own email address, or you can set the form action to use the one you entered as the address the original form email is sent to. This can be handy because I am sure people are starting to use web forms just to get email addresses for spam lists, they send off something in the email ‘could be anything’ expecting they will get a confirmation with ‘your’ email address and then add it to a spam list, if they get the confirmation from their own address then they can’t do this. Obviously if the email is worthy of a reply then you will reply with an email that automatically gives your email address but if they send rubbish or the enquiry does not make any sense you wont reply, so at least this offers you a little more security.
Your server needs to be ioncube friendly to use easiForm and there is a small charge for the domain licenses.
