[Pro] Automatic Undefined Height in FW6

I’ve been following Thomas Kimmich’s tutorials on Box Model (Thanks for the great tutorials by the way). My issue is that I’ve upgraded to FW6 and the layout option in preferences has vanished…I now need to set each box to have a flexible height as I insert them - which then means that it automatically resizes to a height of 0px, meaning that I can’t then select it with my cursor to insert any more items. I therefore have to leave its height as fixed until after I’ve inserted some items and then go back and set the initial box to be flexible.

Is there a way to overcome this and just set Automatic Undefined Height to Ask, as in FW5.5?

Cheers All.

Simple answer - No. The options are now different in FW6 - more of them so no longer one or other.

Hi Steve,

yeahhh - that’s my impression, too.

A pity - but not to change. Honestly I haven’t touched the V6 but I will for sure - and of course make the series ongoing.

But this is part of my hesitation cause I haven’t found a workflow up to my liking yet.

Glad you like it so far - thanks so much.

Cheers

Thanks for the answer David - guess I’ll need to just keep going back & forward.

This is my first attempt at using the Box Model so I’m coming accross a few little issues, most of which I’m muddeling through affter watching your Tutorial’s Thomas, (again thanks for those and I’ll be keeping an eye out for the follow-ups) but I’m sure to get stuck on something so will probably be begging for help soon.

I might even attempt a responsive site too - once I’ve got the hang of the Box Model!!!

Thanks again

Steve

Ask whenever you’ve got a problem. You can even pm me cause a subscriber is always under my personal support.

That’s exactly the correct attitude and proper order to challenge this. After your first you build a second and a third and once you’ll never do anything else - promised :-).

Cheers
