I noticed that Caleb sets the left and right margins on his various modules to Auto, but leaves the top and bottom blank. Does anyone know why? Also, what does the Auto setting do?
Sorry, I’m working on my first responsive website and all of this is new to me.

which is the naked truth. To be pedant - he doesn’t set margin:auto, he simply sets (Freeway spoken inspector->measurements) align center which is the same.
This means, that the entire window-width of a browser minus (math) the width of this item is auto(magically) divided by two.
So you end up in two exactly same parts of margin - one left, one right which centers this buddy. You should know this cause you ran my screencasts and I’m pretty sure you could repeat those lessons cause your subscription is re-activated (the third time btw.)
Cheers

Unfortunately, my memory is not what it used to be. Maybe it’s time for a refresher course. Thanks Dave and Thomas.

Actually, I hadn’t seen you new responsive box model v5.5 screencast. Episode #002 is where you mention the Auto feature. Watching it now. Another great piece of work. Thanks for your efforts Thomas.
