[Pro] Background image/colour options

I have created a page - consistent throughout the site and want a black background that ds not bleed into the browser background…

No matter which method I use, the entire browser background is coloured black.

Tried a tiled black image, tried colour black using inspector, tried an html box coloured black etc etc…nothing seems to work…what am I doing wrong?

And also, how do I prevent all the layers getting stuck to each other? Sometimes I need a layer to come to front and
cannot make it do so, bec some other layer is stuck to it…

The correct way of building your site to get it working the way you want is by working with inline DIV’s

Dan J. has a great screen-cast about this mater that will help you to understand and implement the structure successfully

Rookie, I can only second what Rob said, I have found by using the inline divs or box modal method much better for consistent layouts. Spend a few bucks at Dan’s site and grab his tutorials, they are well worth it.

I have bought the tutes and more…and found them far more enlightening than the Freeway moments…sorry Paul! nothing personal…and do wish he would do more!

Getting to grips with the Box model tutorial… as it gets quite complicated. And being new to all this I am finding it all
quite a steep learning curve, but I want to get there.
