Softpress provide Intaglio for ‘FREE’ as part of their price.
Doesn’t look like it is Free to me !
Be aware that Apple often forces discounts from developers and manufacturers that wouldn’t normally be made for common business reasons. The trouble is, it is rather important to be in the Apple Store.
Dixons used to be worse - a hardware dealer friend once told me that people would come out of ‘successful’ meetings with Dixons, with their product added to Dixon’s lists - feeling like they’d lost part of their soul.
Is Intaglio worth the extra £43 ??
If you need a graphics tool then yes, absolutely. Intaglio is not meant to be a head-to-head rival to Adobe Illustrator, but all the same it is a very capable and useful professional-level graphics tool. And heck, it is certainly easier than Illustrator!

Softpress is the better deal, Intaglio is virtually free at $1.64
Intaglio is not a bad drawing program. I mainly use it for designing signage programs. Intaglio has some neat CAD tools. You can insert dimensions, handy for sending drawings to a sign shop for fabrication.
Neil, in the US if you order from the Apple Online Store, VAT/Sales Tax is still added on top of the price. That tax is based on the City, County, State that you live in.
