Not sure when started but whenever I make a word bold it “vanishes”.
Please take a look at:

I wrote: “This is a test This is a test” , the 1st “test” is bold and it doesn’t show on the screen.
When I view source I can see the missing word, but because I don’t know anything about code, can’t tell what is going on.
Any help is really appreciated.

Try selecting the text and clearing all styles from it. Right now you do have the proper “bold” or “strong” style attached to it however there is also a “.style33” attached which is white and has a font-size of 36px.
Remove the styling and reapply and make sure that only “strong” is being used.

Did you try in the Inspector to remove the styles attached one-by-one? (Should be last “tab” in the Inspector where it lists all the styles.)
