I know, it should be very easy, but for 3 days now I am trying to build a navigation bar now consisting of several rollover buttons…
I cannot describe the number of troubles I ran in !
Let me try:
I start of by building two exactly the same rectangles with a text in it.
Then I align them, both horizontal and vertical.
Then I group them ( saw this in a video tutorial).
And here it starts: sometimes I can still move the group, sometimes I cant ? Sometimes I can apply the rollover action, sometimes I cant ?
What on earth am I doing wrong, that something so basic as this, is impossible to achieve?
I finally decided to start from zero, but I want make sure I am not overlooking something, because it is getting on my nerves!
When I try to distribute the grouped buttons, it does not work.
So I have to do it manualy. When I come to close to another button funny things happen with the rollover…they kinda flow into one other !
Yes I did, and it is not working ! I did it several times over and over again with unpredictable results ?
Mind you, in the tut they are building one button, the problems start when I have to make a row of buttons…
On the left site where your site pages are, go into Page View or toggle the arrow by your page. You should see three elements that make up your rollover (or maybe four).
There’s all the elements separately, then there’s a group item. You need to select that group item to move it or duplicate it. You might be selecting one of the items in IN the group, but not the group.
