I’m finally getting around to designing some business cards for myself. I’ve come up with several options. Most are horizontal, but a few are vertical. I’m curious to find out how people feel about vertical business cards.
Although they tend to be a little more creative, I’m not sure how the masses (clients and prospects) would respond.
Any thoughts on vertical business cards?

I’m working on some cards for a client right now and showed him both portrait and landscape. He’s leaning towards portrait. Personally I like them better because they are slightly less common. I’ve also seen some beautiful “shapes” cards which are definitely not mainstream.

Mine is vertical, has always been.
What do clients choose? Landscape, mostly.
What do designers prefer? Portrait. I think.

Great suggestions guys. I do like the idea of a double side card. Corporate one side, highly creative the other side.
However, as someone in the last link indicated, I often find myself writing stuff on the back of cards, but that was before the iPhone and its Notepad app.
