I would like to have a couple of buttons that when pushed reveal some text And push down the page at the same time to make room for the text. Appreciate the time looking at this!

You could use the built-in Transition FX Action to do this. Insert your desired hidden element as an inline child of the larger page layout (refer to the manual, or the thousands of posts on the Web archive of this list related to “inline / in-flow / box-in-box” construction). Apply the Action to that box, then in the On Trigger section of the Action interface, set it to be initially hidden. Draw or insert your button on the page, and give it a memorable name. Then click back on the item you wish to show/hide, and choose the button from the Item picker, and leave On set to Click. Experiment with the Effect settings until you get the look you want.
