Building a new site and want to have a calendar of events for a client - lots of shows - would like to have dropdown months - clickable calendar and search facility for type of show.
Wonder if anyone has ever done this sing Freeway?

I made inquiries about a similar calendar with PHP Jabbers http://www.phpjabbers.com/ Having used their availability calender previously. They came back with a very positive reply. Basically yes, with the request for specific details to be made through their contact page, so they could customise to your request… etc.
Still waiting on my part to see if I got the job.
Their availability calendar was very easy yo integrate, reason an events one equally so.

There is also a great calendar in Perch. It’s probably not worth the money if you are only using Perch for the calendar but could be a better investment if you include it in the rest of the site.

I agree with Marcel, the calendar/events app is nice.

I’m going to need to do this soon myself. To date, I’ve never needed a calendar. I was thinking I would just integrate a google calendar. Is that not a possibility?

Oh sure. Or any number of other calendar scripts. But if you happen to need a CMS as well then the Perch calendar/events app is a good start.

Only if you know what your doing with code, able to style it (Perch don’t do even base styling or help with styling) and figure your way through their rather messy documentation.
The jabbers scripts are cms.
