Thanks for getting back to me.
I have used Carousel 2 quite a lot on projects for graphics and text during earlier versions of Freeway with fixed width sites i.e. not responsive. It worked well enough for those purposes.
I guess if there is no way for the content or the container to be responsive using Carousel 2 then I shall have to find another way of achieving the same effect but in a responsive manner.
It does somewhat limit its usefulness which is a pity as it was a very useful tool.
I shall have a look around at the other options in the meanwhile.
