[Pro] Checkbox add up script

Hi All

I need to integrate a script on a Freeway page that will give me a checkbox running total in a text field in a form - like the Sample 1 in these examples on this page but without the quantity selection dropdown

can anyone talk me through it please.

Thanks

So it is NOT like Sample 1 - it is like Sample 2!

Have only done the first 3 items http://www.deltadesign.co/odds/tomsform.html

This uses exactly the same code as at http://www.deltadesign.co/odds/tomscalculator.html

The difference being that the quantity box is substituted with a checkbox and the Item Output Settings - third tab - Name matches the ID of the checkbox with a value of 1

If you need a specific example let me know a few of your items names and their values and I will put one together for you.

Hi Dave

Good Man! that is exactly what I need. Your 1st 3 items are spot on in your example. Yes, I will only ever need one of each item with a tick box.

How do I get this onto my form/Freeway page. I have been battling with this thing for weeks to get a practical solution.

I want to place the items in table:
item description (in a cell) - check box (in cell beside)

Total Box in last cell

ie: like this where the “O” is the check box . . .

300 Tube £500 O

Reduction Gear £50 O

Optics Upgrade £20 O

EQ5 Mount £150 O

Titan Mount £1000 O

Total Amount ________

Hi Dave

Thanks for the example - I will have to upgrade to 5.5 to examine the file as it reports “The file could not be opened with this version of Freeway 5 Pro”. Is this the case that 5.5. will not open older Freeway fiIes? - i’m on Pro 5.4.2 - will do this later this morning and have a look see. Thanks for your example - and burning the midnight oil.

I will let you know how is goes.

Quick question Dave

In your example
the Extended attributes for the checkbox shows
Input - div - div style
at the top
where
the
Extended attrtributes for the subtotal box
is different.

Can you explain please

Simply put different types have different options available.

Select different sorts of containers on your page and Item>Extended will show different things depending on the item type.

Sorry to be a bit thick but in your example when I select
the first checkbox and look at item extended it shows the input-div div style extended box and
your text Field box when selected and I look at item extended it shows an extended box without the headings.

On my example both box types in Extended show just the extended box without the extra headings

Just an observation: In your example the checkbox in the form cell has a green dotted container where mine has a blue one

I can’t replicate entering a checkbox into my cell where is has a green one yet I can cut and paste yours and it shows the different extended box

All my items were drawn with the CSS button on - so all layers. Checkbox drawn on the page then copy/pasted into each cell.

AH! Thanks Dave - you copy pasted from the page. I was placing cursor in cell and inserting directly there - which was giving the other extended entry box. However I have since copy/pasted your examples to integrate with my form and it is working fine - just what I need. Once again thanks for your patience and kindness and sorry if my frustration and lack of knowledge looks like impatience but with your help - problem solved.

Kindest regards
