[Pro] Circular window in fading slideshow

Is it possible to reshape the window in fading slideshow so that the images appear in circular form rather than rectangle or square ones?

Try importing your photos into a circular or oval graphics box. If you
want to try this on existing photos, there’s a segment in the bottom
of the Style tab of the Inspector called shape. You can change an oval
into a rectangle, and vice versa, by clicking on the appropriate icon
there.

Thanks for that Walter and thanks for your time.

I had already tried this but they still appear as squares with the image filling the whole square even though it is a circular graphic box.
Is there something else missing?

I meant to ask as well if it is possible for the images to fade in and out of the background colour of the box? i.e. when they fade out then rather than the circle dissappearing completely then there will still be the circlular shape until the next image appears?

You have to do this trick to all of the images, not just the one. Your images that you are selecting for options 2, 3, 4, etc. all have to be masked the same way.

Another trick you could try is to create a new 24-bit PNG image in Photoshop which is background-colored with a clear circle cut out of the center. Place that in a floating layer above your slideshow images, and you would have the same effect with no need to mask each image in the slideshow.

Hello Walter thanks again for your time.
I tried the PNG solution, which seemed the most efficient solution but when I put it over the images then all I see in the Preview are grey circles where they are transparent in the PNG with no images.
I am only using Photoshop CS which can only generate 16 bit images! Is this an issue?

Be sure to use Save For Web in Photoshop (Shift, Option, Command, S)
to save this PNG. Then choose the PNG-24 option in the output format.
And in Freeway, be sure to add this image as a Pass-through (check the
box in the import dialog).

Cheers. A bit of progress! I’m learning as I go here.
I’m still having an issue with my pages not previewing all of the actions at the one time. Its all a bit erratic and I have been working in quite a structured way with what I have done so far.
My pages need republished even though I’ve not touched anything on the master page or the page itself. Any thoughts?

Master pages and page actions can be a dangerous combo. Other than
that, you shouldn’t have the kinds of problems you’ve described
elsewhere. Try creating a new site folder on your hard disk, publish
into it, then upload. You might clear out a bit of cruft from previous
efforts that’s throwing things off.
