[Pro] colour combos on the home page

Hi,
Would love to be able to implement this but think this could be way out of my depth… anyway maybe there is a way - hopefully a Freeway way? Would it be possible to create a home (index) page that changes colour when you visited? So if a main header image was blue then all the accent colours would be blue (header texts, links etc) . I think what would need to happen - when page loads it would have to choose an image, then the accompanying style sheet to adjust the styles? Is this hard with out much coding experience? See my site home page I would love to have the header image be random in theme (and colour) and the page colours change accordingly to reflect header image colour… any pointers as ever would be brill.

cheers

I have a random background image action at ActionsForge. It does up to 20 different colors or images. That, in conjunction with semi-transparent 24-bit PNG images for selected interface elements, could get you a large part of the way toward this goal. The semi-transparent images would show either a darkened or lightened version of the background color, or you could use harmonic or complementary colors to give even more possibilities. Think of it like you were stacking colored cinema gels.

Thanks Walter thats a really good idea - I am using the random background already. And I do like the idea of exploiting the PNG transparency to create a similar effect. Will def pursue.

Thanks again.

You can add random background images (using the Random Background
Action[1]) to any HTML element or to the page itself.

The Random Image Action is different, and is for specifying a
foreground image (one that is a defined element unto itself within the
page contents) that loads at random.

I can’t see where they would conflict with one another, you could
probably use both in the same page.
