[Pro] Combatibility testing help please ...

Good evening everybody,

Bit of a strange problem here, I have a guestbook set-up at http://www.fionaandsimonswedding.co.uk

it seems to be working fine for me in Safari and Firefox. However my fiancées aunt, in Cyprus, can’t seem sign the guestbook.

She enters the text and the security code, but it says Error, can’t process at this time, or something similar.

I am waiting to heat back what browser and version they are using, but if anybody here could do a few tests for me on PC browsers and post if you are successful or not that would be brilliant.

Also, if anyone can see where I have gone wrong with anything on the guestbook, then please let me know, it’s the first time I’ve worked with php in iFrames.

Thanks in advance

OK - had a quick look with VM Fusion and Exploder 7

Signed your Guest book OK

Couple of things - name your items properly. Remember a PC browser on hover over displays the names of the items on your pages so item1a, item2a etc look bad.

The iFrame is partly obscuring the text above it - I think that you need a bit more space in there, Same with the ScriptText at the countdown timer - very tight to surrounding text.

But other than that it looks fine.

Thanks for those who went on and gave the guest book a test, please don’t be offended that I removed the posts

I think the issue is localised to her computer, as no-one else seems to be having the same issues.

Dave - Thanks for the advise and for testing it. I’ll look in to the points.

Thanks again everyone.

Update on the browser issue, my aunt-in-law is in Cyprus using Internet Explorer 8 on Vista Home Premium (which she says is crap).

If anyone out there can test this out for me that would be great, it’s really bugging me now!!!

A solution has been found …

It was all down to the JunkYard SPAM filter that runs in line with the php guestbook.

Apparently it doesn’t like the word ‘shoes’!

So I have upped the security level of the filter and it is all working fine now

Thanks for your help everyone.
