[Pro] connected master pages in a site ?

Hello. In a site, I configure a master page and the pages I create are related to it. But now, I need a new section with a little difference with the master I created, but this difference will be repeated in all the pages at this section,

so I would need a second master based in the first one.

Then, changes made in first master will affect to his direct pages and to the pages relationed with the second one as well. I have tried to make it, but I cant manage. Is it possible?

I hope Ive explained clearly.

Duplicate the Master, make the changes to the duplicate and then on the child page(s) select the duplicate as the master.

Hello. This is what I do, but when you change something in the master, it doesnt change in the duplicate. So if you have a common menu in child pages of both of them, you need to change in one master and then in the other.

an image…better than 1.000 words (is an spanish idiom when you give an example instead of speaking).

Here is my example: http://www.godelia.tv
If you see, Cinescena pages are different from Noticias pages, but have common elements, like the subscription form.
I have a master for Cinescena pages and a master for Noticias pages. Noticias master was a duplicate from Cinescena master. But now, if I need to add a new button or change the text for the suscription form, or the color of the logo, or the banner, or any of the common elements, I need to change them in both masters.

Is this the way or… is there a better way to do this?

Thanks a lot.

The simple answer is that you cannot have a master based on another Master so that updating 1 updates the other.

Alternatively think about adding common content like this as an include.

Your common content (subscription form) would be on a 3rd page (use the PHP Make include action) and drawn into the 2 Masters that way.
