Is it possible to convert an old FW site to responsive by creating wrappers and copy/paste?

There’s no direct conversion option but you can always set up your new
responsive (inline built) site, set up breakpoints and then paste in your
copy and images from the old one.
But your images should be ‘passthrough’ in order to get them scalable in a
right responsive way.

I wouldn’t bed on Freeway for the future in my opinion. Take for example a
look at sitebuilders like Blocs, Foundation Framer or Cloudpress
