If the elements you are copying and pasting are not inline (inserted within an outer container element as if they were characters of text), then Freeway always respects the x,y coordinates that were used to position it when pasting*. This is one of my favorite things about Freeway, one that I wish InDesign would take as its “normal” paste, instead of making me look up the shortcut every time. Freeway’s clipboard is incredibly deep. Any modification you made to the original – Inspector settings, Actions applied and configured, Extended attributes added and tweaked – comes along for the ride. I am not sure what could be going wrong where you are, that’s not been my experience in many, many years.

*If the original was inserted inline, copied, and then pasted in another page or the current page, then the new element will be positioned at 0,0 on the screen. If the element was a drawn (nested) child of another element, then it will be the x,y offset that it held within its parent when you paste it in the page.

Here is my issue.
I am needing to copy elements from one page to another and have them positioned in the exact same position on the new page.
Freeway seems reluctant to paste elements in the exact location on the new page. This is especially the case where I am copying multiple elements.
Is this a freeway problem or am I doing something wrong?
The issue I have is with copying nested elements. Many times I’ve copied a
nested html item that, when pasted, excludes the contents of the nested
html item.
