I can find the CSS Menu Action in Freeway Pro 6. It isn’t in the list of actions that appear under the Insert > Action > [Not there] menu. I haven’t had a response from SoftPress support and I can’t wait any longer. Help! Thanks in advance.
Draw an HTML box on your page, and while it is selected, look in Item/Actions for CSS Menu. You will only see the option to add the Action when you have selected an element that the Action applies to (in this case, an HTML box). If you just drew the box and applied the Action, you will now see an error message in the Actions palette alerting you to the fact that you must insert a list in the box to create your menu. Look in the manual for detailed instructions for how to do that.

Been there done that. I guess what I am looking for is someone to tell me where in the menu I should expect to see the Action. I have drawn the box, typed in the info, made it a list, made all the links, selected it and gone to the menu… nothing has the name of CSS Menu on it.
Did you select the box (handles showing at all corners and sides) or did you select the list with a text cursor (blue highlight)? You have to do the former. You cannot apply any Action to selected text, only the HTML boxes and graphic boxes and the page itself.

That’s messed up, then. The Action just works. And it’s a core action, built in to the application. You don’t have to install it separately. Please try this, in order:
Restart your entire Mac. (Yes, that’s using the big gun first, but let’s get it out of the way.)
If Freeway launched automatically, quit it and start it again manually by finding it in your Applications folder. Make sure you only have one copy of Freeway installed.
Create a new document, with no other documents open. Use the Blank template.
On the home page (not a master) first look in the toolbar and make sure that you see a big button labeled CSS Layout. Select the HTML Item tool, and draw a box somewhere in the middle of the otherwise blank page. It should have green borders if you have the Show Borders option enabled in your View menu.
While that box is selected, and before you add any content to it, choose Item / Actions / CSS Menu from the main menu. Is it there?
At this point, if you still don’t see the Action in that specific menu, then choose Edit / Actions from the main menu, and make sure that CSS Menus is checked On. It will be somewhere in that massive List Of All Actions.
That’s all I’ve got. Besides download and re-install. I’ve used this Action in every version of Freeway that had it (starting with 3.0, I think) and it hasn’t ever moved or failed to be there.

Selected the box with the pointer, 8 points highlighted. Not selecting the text.
Thank you everyone (and SoftPress support). I have now found my way. I feel like a bit of a fool, but I was looking in the wrong place. It is under Item > Actions > CSS Menu
Sorry for taking everyone’s time! Hopefully this little thread will helps some other similarly clued-out dumb-dumb some day!
