Very close to that, yes! I would just have the text box (Dance Art, etc) line up with the image box as it is on my current site…so that the text box height fits into the same height boundary of the image of the Casablanca lilies…but it looks really good.
I would love to have the bottom of the page be a dark purple as it is on my live site…but that’s probably too much to ask.

You should by now have a link to an example page and no - I am not associated with Softpress.
But remember that this method is not going to work/hold together across mobile devices.
I suggest that you start thinking long term and make some design changes so that your site can be seen at its best across the board.
Got all this yesterday, Dave…a huge Thank you! Looks great. I know you’re totally right in that I need to think long term and mobile mobile mobile. So my plan is to use what you’ve made for me as a base to quickly hopefully update my site a little bit, and go further with Freeway to ensure I like how it works. Then, when time permits…like maybe in the winter, start working on a real redesign of the site to make it mobile friendly.
