Hi all,
I’ve another knotty problem that I’m struggling to solve.
A customer on the Costwold Engineering Website emailed us to say that the website was broken, I thought it wasn’t as I had tested it.
It transpires that in Internet explorer 6 and 7 the sub menus below the third level aren’t selectable as they disappear when the mouse moves over them.
I understand that the sub menus (child ones) are given a z-index of 1 and that where they appear (above or below) in relation to other items on the page is dependant on their position in the site panel. The menus in this case are held separately in a table as they are rather long and I wanted a structure that would hold them and allow for headings to be inserted.
All works well in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera (PC & Mac), but on Internet Explorer (PC) only the first 2 or 3 submenus are selectable, the submenus disappear as you go down below the level of the next menu below.
You’ll only see this happening when you view the site in Internet Explorer 6 & 7, and wasn’t obvious as it worked on all other browsers (including IE8).
View this on a PC:

and you’ll see what I mean.
Any solutions gratefully accepted!
Best Wishes,
Steve.
