Working with the CSS Menu action, I have created menus that include links to other pages and links to PDFs (which were created using the Link to PDF action). There is a difference in the way these appear vertically within the menu; extra space above each Link to PDF. The height of the extra space is different depending on the browser and OS, but it is always there. Is there a way to remove the extra space above each Link to PDF?
I am not sure why the action appears to do this but I will make a suggestion for a workaround.
If you want to continue to use the action I suggest that you set the action to ‘Open in a new Window’ - the reason being that there is no navigation in the pdf so the only way back to your site is using the Browser Back button.
And if that seems sensible then you could also create your links to your PDFs using the standard method in your CSS menu using an External Hyperlink to a folder on your site where you could keep all these PDFs ie yoursite.com/pdfs
You can either then FTP the PDFs to this folder or create a new folder in your FW doc called ‘pdfs’ and on a page in there use the Upload Stuff action or the Upload Extra Resources action to send the files ‘With the Page’s HTML file’
As I say a workaround - there may be a simple CSS way of styling the action text with the CSS menu to avoid this.
