[Pro] CSS Menu disappears behind floating slideshow

Hi Everyone

Would like some help please.

On my website above, I would like to know how to fix the menu.
If you hover over the ‘Therapies’ tab on the menu, there should be a sub menu. However it disappears behind the slideshow below.
Any ideas?

Kind Regards
Gregg

Select your slideshow and cntl+click…from the pop up menu select, “Send to back”. Republish and see if that did the trick.

Hi Rich

I tried that it does not work.

I selected the images, held down the control key and mouse clicked. There is no option to send to back.

Your slideshow is on a layer above the menu, that’s why it’s interfering.

If you can’t send it back, or bring the menu forward in Freeway Pro, there
is a way you can do it with CSS.

Select the html item holding the menu… there are several you could use. The
one titled MenuWrap would do. Anyway, select it… choose menu Item >
Extended… choose the “div style” pane in the dialog, then make a New
attribute - z-index - and give it a value of 999. That should make the
browser think it’s in front of your slideshow.

I came to the UK in 2005 after meeting my soon to be British wife…

What was she before she was British?

I am not trying to be picky but it doesn’t read right.

OK,

I think i know what the problem is and hopefully i can explain a solution to you here.

  1. Go to the site pane and select the page in question.
  2. Then go to the top of the Site pane and click to change the view to Page View
  3. Locate the CSS menu item. in the Page view
  4. Click and hold the CSS item and move it to the last item in the list.

If i have explained this correctly then you should now be able to see your sub menu on top of any other items on that page.

You may want to consider doing this on all pages…

Hope this helps.

Hi guys

Thanks for your responses

John, I tried your method first but unfortunately the item would not move down.

I then tried Ernies suggestion and bingo it worked.

Thanks Dave for the wording, I just threw a bunch of text in and will go back to it.

All the best

Gregg
