After having changed my links to the automatic generated menu-items, I deleted the old list of menu-items which were in the item. After having done this, my submenu is hidden when you mouse-over.
Should the item be filled with some text instead of kept empty?
What is the standard procedure of building a menu with the responsive css menu action. I do understand allmost everything of the action, but now this happens, I would like to know the best way to build a header (inline) with items. I must add that my items have overflow visible.
After having changed my links to the automatic generated menu-items, I deleted the old list of menu-items which were in the item.
My understanding is that you should start with the file/folder structure you want and then apply the CSS Menu action to an empty html container.
If you have already styled a menu the way you want it then just duplicate the settings in the new auto-generated version which should be on your Master for best effect.
It is not the answer I hoped for. I keep on wondering why removing the text (my previous menu-list) results in hiding my submenu.
So now I have kept my list intact, and the automatic generated menu will work fine and then its not hidden.
It keeps me wondering if this behaviour is normal. Since I use the auto generated menu items, a list of items should not be necessary. Strangely enough I cannot remove it while it has no function at all…
Yes that is correct. If I remove the list the menu still shows, of course due to the auto-generate function, but the submenu then is hidden when you mouse-over.
I should add: you should manually make the container high enough to show your Main Menu line (which I assume you’ve done), but unless you actually type a return in the box, the Sub Menu will not show.
