[Pro] CSS Menu....

Okay…I seem to handle the difficult tasks fine but the simple ones seem to give me the most trouble…lol

I have a drop down CSS menu with a slideshow directly underneath…but when the drop down occurs its behind the slideshow instead of in front. I have tried the bring forward and send backward on both css menu and slideshow and cant seem to get any cooperation…what do i do?

Of course, a link to a live preview is always best because seeing is always
better than imagining. Maybe you are bringing the wrong thing forward.

Another issue may be the content of the slideshow.

If it is Flash - or other content that requires a plug in - then very often content like that pushes its way to the top.

But as Ernie suggests a link is the best way forward for us to help diagnose the issue.

Are all the items on your page layers - check!

Enable Page View (top of your LH sidebar in FW) - then all items on your FW page

Now if you have given your items sensible names you will be able to see where they are in FW’s stacking order. Items further down the list are closer to the top.

Items that are indented are children of those above

In this example profile and archive are children of sidebar so bringing profile to front will not put it on top (viewing-wise) of postwrapper.

You would have to bring sidebar to front in order for it to appear on top of postwrapper.

Hope this helps you see how your css menu and the slideshow will appear on your FW page.

Ok so now when I go to preview the site the actual html text box for the CSS Menu overlaps the slideshow but it just shows as white with nothin gin side. When in edit mode all the menu text shows. I have resized the html box but when i go to preview it just shows the text box without the text if this makes sense…any suggestions?
