[Pro] CSS menus again - sorry

Hi there,
I am working my way along redeveloping our church website as responsive using Freeway Pro and Backdraft 2.1.

I have reached a five page site which worked fine (for me) up to 4 pages, but now the 5th 'Links’ page does not appear in the autogenerated CSS menu, except in the preview of the 5th page and not the other pages after publishing.

I have tried to follow the extended reference for FW7 and put the 5th page in its own folder as it should be at the main level in the menu and it follows a folder with 3 pages in it which show up as a submenu.

The 5th page is actually uploaded with a working full menu, but can only be accessed by keying the page address in as
http://juliankettle.co.uk/Links/links.html, then select any another page from the menu to see the menu without the ‘links’ item.

Any help as to what is going on here would be gratefully received.
Julian.

but now the 5th ‘Links’ page does not appear in the autogenerated CSS menu,

Is the 5th page based on the same Master page as the others?

My understanding was that BD isn’t really about using Masters at all.

If the answer to the first question is yes then select the navigation container ‘navigation1’ on the home page and see if the Use Master Content checkbox is checked (same for the others)

David,
Thanks for the fast response.
I only have the one header page, so yes the 5th page is based on the same Master page.

The info with BD includes using a Master page.

The navigation container on each page show the same Use Master Content and use Master Settings checked.

Still puzzled as to what I have done wrong.

I will try adding a page or two today after the ‘links’ page and see if it is Freeway Pro doing something funny on the last page.
Julian.

So when you created/edited the menu did you do it on the Master page? And is it set on the Master to autogenerate?

Personally I dont use the Auto Generate feature so cant comment on its efficacy.

David,
I tried altering the css menu action to not auto-generate and added the text list items with assigned links in the master to generate my own menu.
This sort of worked but the menu would not go horizontal despite being specified as such.

FP went into a spindizzy and became unresponsive after it previewed in a browser. Showed a completely black message window. Force quit worked.

I went back to auto-generate and deleted the text list from the master menu area. At this point the css layout button in the FP main menu was not highlighted so I chose that again.

After something, I don’t know what, the autogenerate is working and my small site has a fully working menu. I wish I knew what I had done to make it work…

Thanks again for your responses.
Julian.

Glad you have it sorted.
