[Pro] CSS3 Rollover weirdness

I added a new rollover link to the top of the list on this page - http://www.karenengelphotography.com/connections/index.html
And it resulted in the rollover and link below becoming dead. I messed with it for quite some time trying to figure out what happened, then finally gave up and deleted the dead rollover/link (Blogger) and plugged a new one in.

That fixed it - BUT - it killed the rollover/link below it!!! Trashing/replacing this one and having it kill the next is the next step towards insanity. LOL

Yes, I can probably trash them all and rebuild it easily enough, but something has gone wonky here - it’s not supposed to do that. Any clues - or maybe I’ve found a bug?

While we’re at it - on the same page - the Facebook rollover works, but barely at all…one has to hover in the lower LH center to get it to respond. I’ve never figured that one out.

I think what you have done by remaking the rollover is change the stacking order of items on your page.

The divs that contain your rollovers appear too large and are overlapping items below them.

If you look under your View menu and check Outlines and HTML you should see the borders of these items where they overlap and possibly you have then included these other items in your rollover.

It is good practice to create your rollover groups on the pasteboard sand then position them on the page.

Thank you Dave!

I actually have been working with Outlines and HTML checked/visable and see no problems there. This is the CSS3 Rollover action, so there are no extra layers of graphics involved. It’s actually just a lazy way to do one, LOL.

For giggles, I tried shrinking some but it was of no help. I also tried distributing them at a wider distance and that was of no help either.

I may be mixing different types of graphics files in that section - will change that tomorrow and see if it helps.

I changed graphics to png-24 and built them first in the sand as you suggested, then moved them over into position… That resolved both the current issue - and the lingering one I had with the Facebook logo -

Thanks again!

hi all
I am using CSS3 rollover action on graphic thumbs and they work great but when in rollover state they affect other html items on page, they flash.
is this normal?? if so then I will have to take the action off.
