[Pro] custom fonts on css-menu

hi all,
i created a css menu and want to apply the font souvenir demi to the main menu items and souvenir light to the submenu listings. is that possible and how do i do this?
my first step was to create eot and ttf files of the fonts and make a new font set which i applied to the css menu item. it all works, but now the submenu is souvenir demi too …

thanks in advance!

Providing you create the font set(s) correctly, you can highlight the menu titles in the list view where you create the menu headings and apply the demi weight to those. Then highlight the submenu titles and apply the light weight to these.

You may need to create a separate font set for each weight.

On my own website - see the signature - there is a css menu exhibiting 3 different styles. The main headiungs are a font named Economica Regular made bold, and the submenus are plain Economica regular.

The CSS menu box has had the paragraph style ‘MainMenus’ attached. This uses the EconomicaBold fontset I created. The submenus were then highlighted, and a non-paragraph style ‘Submenus’ attached. This uses the EconomicaRegular fontset. A third style named ‘MainMenusDark’ covers the ‘Contact’ menu which goes on a light background, and uses EconomicaBold again.

All this was tied together with the Caxton action. The key thing is getting the fontsets correctly named and then correctly selected in the Caxton action. It took me a couple of goes, but it all seems to work now.

If you still get problems, I’ll post a series of screen shots up on a site somewhere, showing the settings I’ve used.

Ian

hi ian, thx for your answer.
i gave it a try, but till now the souvenirlight-font family is not shown in the css-section in the head (i used this for the submenu). the font family “souvenir” which i took for the main menu is listed …
strange - but i’ll play around a little bit and maybe i’ll come to the point
