Sorry, I tried replying to this last week, and it was getting too
tedious on my phone. Forgot all about it.
You can do this, but it’s a hack. There are parameters you can add to
the QuickTime controller that cause it to have no background color and
to not display the Q logo. A quick Google should turn those up.
To add parameters to a QuickTime movie in Freeway, click once on the
movie, then choose Item / Extended from the main menu. Make sure you
have clicked on the Embed segment of the dialog, then click New. In
the resulting sub-dialog, add the name of the attribute in the Name
field, and the value in the Value field. If your example you are
working from shows this in code, it will probably look like:
<param name="foo" value="bar" />
You should only use the name and value, not any of the surrounding
code, when adding these attributes into the sub-dialog. Okay the sub-
dialog, press New again, and add another one. Once you have all this
set up for one movie, you can save a lot of time by duplicating the
movie in Freeway (Apple-D) and simply changing the movie source with
File / Import.
To get a spinner graphic to show while the movie is loading, just put
such an animated GIF underneath the movie in your Freeway document.
(Draw it, then use Send Behind or Send to Back to move it there.) You
can make all manner of these here: http://ajaxload.info/
