[Pro] Don't see xml sitemap in Google

This morning (and for the first time) I used the Freeway site mapper action to send xml files to Google, Bing, Yahoo, and Ask. Everything appeared to go well (I’d watched the Dan Jasker video on this), except that the Yahoo URL list never did seem to complete its cycle.

Also, I don’t see the site map showing up when I log into Google webmaster or view the structure using Transmit.

I do, however, see the sitemap.xml in my resources file, however. Am I missing something? Should I just try the process again? (I used the folder action.)

Correction: the sitemap.xml file is not in my resources folder. It’s in the site folder.

the sitemap.xml file is not in my resources folder. It’s in the site folder.

Which is where it should be at yoursite.com/sitemap.xml

Log into your Google Webmaster account and tell it where to find it.

I’ll try this tomorrow, Dave, and thanks. I just set up Google Webmaster to track this particular site. It gave me the verification code, which I uploaded. But it may not have kicked into action yet. Otherwise . . . I’ll be back here for more advice.
