[Pro] Download Link Color

This may be a daft question - but is it possible to change the default dark blue link colour when using [Link to File]? I’m working on a site with a very dark background, and the default colour is way too dark. There’s no option in the Action menu, so how would I do it?

thanks

Text link styles can be applied in several ways.

1 On a page wide basis - with nothing selected on the page look in the Page Inspector under the paintbrush icon in the Links section.

2 On an item basis - with the HTML container that has the links in it selected - look in the HTML Item Inspector under the paintbrush icon in the Links section.

3 If it is a CSS Menu item then the action palette for the CSS Menu has its own link settings for both the Main Menu and the Sub Menu.

4 There is also a Text Link Style action that can be applied to HTML containers.

So check each/all of these to see if you have any conflicting settings.

Thanks David,

Fixed the issue, and taught me something I didn’t know. Good stuff!

One other thing with this - I can’t see a way to change the font in the [Link to File] action. The Action palette doesn’t do it; there is no text to select in the Action itself, there’s no global page font setting (that I can see!), i tried setting the font for the (empty) html container, no joy; so how do I do it?

Thanks

David

David, not having Freeway open in front of me, I think this is one of the actions where you select the blank space at either side of the action in a run of text, along with the action itself, and then style it accordingly, so:

(action)

and apply your style.

Hi Trev,

That’s what I would have expected, but in this case it doesn’t seem to work.

I have an HTML item with a few lines of text, then the two [link to item] actions are “inserted” in the spaces after the text. If I select the contents of the HTML box and set the font, nothing changes in the Actions, and if I select an Action alone, the font option is no longer in the Item inspector.

Hmmm.

Have you tried inserting an extra space after the actions and selecting that also? Failing that, I don’t know - sorry!
Good luck.

Whehey! Managed to repay at least a little bit back to the Freeway community. I’m not a complete failure!!

Yes - just to reiterate.

The way to style inline actions like this is to have a space character either side of the action and then select the space-action-space sandwich and apply any styling to this.
