Hi there,
Pro 5.4.3
I wish to set up a web page containing a link to a folder so that when I send out the web page address via email and the link is clicked the folder will automatically download without any browser opening and showing the web page.
Which action is best for for this.

You cannot download a folder unless it is zipped first.
So zip your folder and use an action like ‘Link to File’

Hi David,
I understand the zipping, but I want the download to take place without the browser opening the page ie striaght from a emailed link.

So you dont want the link on a web page - you want to include it in an email?
Then I would use the Upload Stuff or Upload Extra Resources action - both of these allow you to select a file to upload with your FW doc and give you the option of adding that file to either the ‘Resources’ folder or ‘With the html’ page.
Then you would create a simple link to the file such as www.mysite.com/Resources/myfolder.zip or www.mysite.com/myfolder.zip - depending where you set it to upload to.

I maybe didn’t make that too clear
Send a link like http://www.deltadesign.co/downloads/testfolder.zip in your email (once you have uploaded the folder)
Clicking on the link in the email will download the file
