I have a Facebook Like Box on a web page (see link), placed using the action for Freeway Pro 5.5 (5.6.5). Just lately, although the links to Facebook work (in the heading which takes you to the correct Facebook page) there is nothing in the main part of the box which used to show new items etc. On looking at the client’s Facebook page I see that no one has entered anything now for over a month (last item being added March 11) - so my question is does the action have a time ‘limit’ ie if nothing has been added to the Facebook page for x number of days does the action assume nothing is there as it were?
All was working fine till a week or so ago. I have not changed anything so I am not sure why nothing shows in the box anymore. It’s the same in Safari, Firefox and Chrome so doesn’t seem to be a browser problem.

I don’t know anything special about the Action, but the content is provided entirely by Facebook, so you are at their mercy as to what they decide to show. Try visiting the page and using the Safari Web Inspector to inspect the empty box. See what URL it is pinging, and visit that URL. You may find that Facebook are not providing any content because there’s nothing new. As someone else pointed out on one of these lists fairly recently – if you’re not going to be active in social media, it is better/less embarrassing to not be there at all. Nothing says like a status last updated 2 years ago.

Hopefully it is because the client hasn’t posted anything for the last month or so. I will await a posting to see if anything shows up in the Facebook Like Box.
