[Pro] Fat Cow?

Am thinking of moving my site to Fat Cow, a hosting service recommended by Softpress. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I tried them out briefly, but web-yep was having a hard time on their servers. I think if you weren’t planning on using web-yep they would be fine.

So far I’m quite happy with their service. Questions I have (newbie) are answered within short time frames. I’d recommend them but have no “pro” experience.

I looked at FatCow, but ended up going with HostGator. There was something specific in the reviews I read on FatCow. The customer service was always helpful, but I believe it was the uptime of the servers people were complaining about. I went with HostGator because of the 99.9% up-time guarantee and they are into using “green” energy and I like how that serves the environment.

The price is a big higher, but the customer support is always great and you can email support directly and you get a smart technician response rather than sitting on the phone with a knucklehead.

I’d also recommend them over GoDaddy, if you use any kind of ecommerce packages, as often times downloadable products don’t work so well because they’re constantly changing the settings for the servers.
