[Pro] File sizes gone

Hi chaps, having had a small problem with reloading master (and thanks for an excellent tip from Ian Halstead http://www.freewaytalk.net/thread/view/52800#m_52905 I seem to have sorted out the problem) but I also ticked the ‘use master content and settings’ button but now all the graphics in the list have a “?” instead of a file size.

Best Roger

They will do until publish when they are calculated.

Lol, it’s no problem. Recently, there was a topic titled “Freeway Talk
Slow” - about how slowly the forum was working in some browsers. Just
scanning the title though, I thought it meant that we were talking too
fast… “Freeway, Talk Slow!”

I guess that I can go back to typing at full speed

Not sure if I’m using the ‘Master 2’ trick correctly.

Please - I’ll try and explain.

I have a page based on Master 1, I have changed the text in an html box … to avoid duplicating any items when I reapply the master as per Ian’s advice I go to my ‘Master 2’ page to check that there is nothing there from ‘Master 1’ - all is fine I then go back to the ‘Master 1’ drop down in the inspector and it replaces the html text I’ve just altered ie it ‘reapplies’ Master1. I guess this is logical but how do I edit text in a box without it being overwrittten by the Master Page ?

Thanks Roger

If you change text in a box on a child page that is based on a Master then that page will respect those changes UNLESS you Reapply Master.

When you make the change to the text (ie content) the settings will change from: ‘Use Master Content’ and ‘Use Master Settings’ to just: ‘Use Master Settings’

Rechecking ‘Use Master Content’ will revert to what was in the box on the Master
