[Pro] fixed center alignment with scrolling content?

Hi,

I am trying to build a website that will have fixed center alignment that will adjust to different screens, but have the content scroll vertically under the header/footer. something similar to this: LUNDLUND : Stylist.

I tried Walt’s method here: http://www.freewaytalk.net/thread/view/96544

but I keep not getting it right…what am I missing? HELP??? Please!

Thank you in advance!

I should clarify that my biggest issue is adding graphic images in place of web fonts…I’m not even sure i’m making sense. Help!

Post a link to what you have so far.

Can you post a link to an example of what you have produced so far?

Hi,

Sorry I don’t have much to show…but here is something: http://tinyurl.com/cnqd7gf

I think I figured out how to use custom fonts, but it doesn’t seem centered to me…

Also, is there a way to allow the footer to be position on the bottom of the page regardless of the window length?

I also found this thread which was somewhat helpful: http://www.freewaytalk.net/thread/view/48927#m_48927

thanks!!

Download this file, which follows my original instructions. Note how the content slides under the header (I made the header background translucent so you can see it happening.

Key points:

Draw an HTML box on the page and double-click into it to create your inline content element, don’t double-click into the page itself. You can make it work if you do the latter, but it’s more effort for no gain.

Insert some (any) content into the elements you draw before you set their height to undefined (by clicking on the icon left of the height field in the Inspector). Items with undefined height and no content shrink to zero-height and are very difficult to select in the layout.
