[Pro] Fixed Width% won't stay fixed in browser

Hi,
I am doing a ‘Product Selector’ for one of my sites and am having a problem with my fixed widths in responsive layout not behaving.

In the example, I have set the “MATCHED-PRODUCTS” block to be fixed width % for different media sizes. In Freeway, it appears fine, but when I preview in a browser, it is oversized within the fixed width window. Hope that makes sense.

For example, at 1024px wide, “MATCHED-PRODUCTS” should be at 60% width, but in the browser it clearly is wrong.

As far as I can see, I have no ‘available’ widths specified. It is all contained.

If anyone can help, I would be most grateful. Thanks.

HTML5 and a compatibility mode of IE7 simply doesn’t fit. Set the comp mode to “normal”, thus avoids breaking the layout into “tables”.

Furthermore I think that most of your “manually” placed code is simply on the wrong position. Some belongs into the before end head-Tag, others could be placed into the before end body-Tag.

Fix both and let us know. Then chances will increase to target “real” problems.

Cheers

Thomas

Thank you Thomas! It was the Compatibility Mode. Once set to normal, it worked just fine.

Thank you very much for your time.

Josephine.
