[Pro] Flash and links

I have a Flash ad on our site but I cannot get it to link to a webpage. Does this have to be done in the Flash program to work?

Hi Kevin,
Typically yes you would need Flash to edit the link although some Flash can also read values like URLs from an external file so check to see if there are any of these with the SWF. Also the Flash Extras Action (Item > Actions > Flash Extras) has the ability to change links in certain Flash file types (unfortunately Easy Web Animator files are compressed internally and can’t be edited with the Action). Apply the Action to the Flash file and see if it will let you update the internal link.
