[Pro] Flash Problem

When I drop my flash swf into box it reduces to unreadable. I made it work by enlarging box to a size that is enormous. It works fine in Safari & Chrome but explorer it’s a mess. None the less I have never had this problem with flash before where the visual is reduced, and now it is doing this on 3 pages. I have done everything I can in my html xml settings to no avail. You can view this looking correct in Safari @ http://www.americanchopperparts.net and an other @ http://www.americanchopperparts.net/lowestpriceguaranty.html Though it looks OK it is not right what I had to do to get this and exploer feels the same way obviously. If you can view these same pages in explorer and witness what happens I would wholeheartedly appreciate some help for I am lost.

Did you use command “fit content to box”?

Sorry, I was wrong. I did not try that for it is not available to my knowledge. I can go to “control” fit box to content that does nothing. Please tell me how to perform fit content to box for I have considered this and could not find it.

Well, I don’t know if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but when you control click the graphic, the first menu item is Graphic and that has a sub-menu. In there there’s not a fit content to box, but there’s a scale to box, scale and pad, and scale and trim. That might be what is being talked about.

Ok, for some reason it happens to me most of the time I create
animations in Adobe Flash, but in Easy Web Animator 2 it never
happen. In Flash I set the document dimensions lets said 200x100,
them I paste on FW and goes like 225x120, I will go deeper into this
and get back to you ASP.

Easy, click on the html box where you put the flash item, right click
on mouse a pop up menu shows few options, select “fit box to
content”. Try and let me know, Julio

that’s the good thing about being where we are from we can spell the way we want. URL’s are spelled in many different ways by the way, so as to give you optimum search engine capability.

What I am seeing in your code is no less than 7 references to the menu.swf - that is 7 instances of it on your page lowpriceguaranty.html - surely that cannot be correct?

I would start by getting rid of the other 6 and then see what it looks like.

Do you also have alternate content for iOS users?

What I meant about the spelling was that you use it as Guarantee elsewhere and is it not better to be consistent?

Two quick things. Why do all the rollover’s say ‘Welcome’ and secondly make sure you give credit to “Theory of a Deadman - Bad Girlfriend” for using their song before they sue you.

In fact you should probably check out copyright law to make sure you can even do that.

Yeah, one last thing too is make sure you remove that ‘Resize your browser to a completely astronomical waste of screen-space by blowing up this browser window full-size’ Freeway action you’re using.

That is annoying when sites use that and is completely unnecessary.

From your original email I was expecting the text in the SWF to be unreadable, instead what’s happening is the SWF isn’t being made transparent so it’s blocking other content.

Did you make the Flash file yourself? If so then you need to either make the menu larger on the stage, or make the stage smaller so the menu just fits inside it. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t have access to the original Flash file (though doing the above would be the best solution performance wise). Select the item containing the SWF in Freeway and go to the Item>Extended menu. In the dialog that appears, make sure that the Embed tab is selected and click New. In the new dialog that appears enter the text after the colons in the respective fields:

Name: wmode
Value: transparent

That should do it!
