[Pro] flash video problem

I have a test page
http://www.dvtvfilm.com/flashtest.html

for a flash .flv file.

The file plays perfectly in PREVIEW (safari/firefox)-- but not from the web.

The Safari activity window says the flv source file does not exist.

But when checking the contents of the resource folder with FETCH-- the file (16 megs) is clearly there.

Am I missing something?

thanks for any help.

regards

My first thoughts are is the flv file too big, it looks like its trying to load it. Have you left it for any length of time to see what happens?

yes, I give it lots of time. I get an error message in Safari that the file does not exist (so says the activity window in safari).

It’s only 16 megs–and something should come up, even if it’s buffering.

Joe Billings has resolved this issue-- pointing out that it is a server issue–the server I have this site on does not recognize the FLV file format.

The server issue is being corrected.

Thanks Joe. I appreciate the fast discovery of the problem and I’m very happy it’s not a Freeway issue at all.
