[Pro] Flexible Background Image question

I would like to use a background image that expands and shrinks with the browser window size. And I would like everything else on the page to be centered. I’ve tried different things, but I am missing a solution. Maybe I just don’t know what to call it. Please see the example.
Thanks for any help, Laura

I found another website that better illustrates the effect I want.

Notice the logo & content stay centered - just can’t seem to figure it out.
Thanks again.

The first example uses

// Vegas - jQuery plugin
// Add awesome fullscreen backgrounds to your webpages.
// v 1.3.1
// Dual licensed under the MIT and GPL licenses.
// http://vegas.jaysalvat.com/

The second site is a WP site and uses the cyclone slider plug-in for WP

Thanks Dave - I think I will go simpler - already over my head.

Easy-fix: Apply the page action Background Supersizer and set it to use one image only.

Probably not politically correct, though.

I used it on all pages on this site: http://sail-chartering.com

Kind regards,

Jon

Hey Jon - That looks great! And I like the way the content (text etc.) behaves so nicely staying centered. Will give it a go. If I get stuck I may check back with you.
Thanks, Laura
