Here you drag the browser window and the footer follows
covering up the content as it goes. This is what I am after so information contained in the footer is always available. I have tried searching but to no avail unless it’s a particular effect I don’t know the name of.

Try drawing an HTML box across the bottom of your screen, setting the Position picker in the Inspector to Fixed in Window, and using the position fields to pin the box to the bottom of the window. In the Inspector, by default, all measurements are taken from the top-left corner. But if you click on the icon to the left of the Top dimension field, that will be disabled and the Bottom field will be enabled. Set that value to 0. Next, set the left and right to 0 as well, (this should disable the width field). Your footer will be stuck in place and (as long as you don’t also center the page) full-width.

I am also interested in this idea, but when I tried it on a test page an viewed in in Preview, the footer does not stay in position. Your help is appreciated.

Did you choose Position: Fixed in Window in the Inspector? That does the trick here.

Again you have helped me. Marvellous! You ARE the resident guru.
It all works (of course) and you are right, it doesn’t work when aligning the page ‘centered’. It is dictated by the page width through ‘Fixed In Window’ command. So I experimented further to try and achieve this.
I changed the pasteboard setting under Document Setup to much wider than any browser would open out to.
I then reduced the view page size down so to see the new pasteboard size, then dragged out the HTML box left and right extending far beyond the page.
Previewed this and there we are, a bar glued to the bottom of the browser wherever you drag it height and width.
To make it cover the imported graphics on the page > Item > Bring To Front does it.
That is what I was after - so thanks again Walter for pointing me in the right direction!
Hope this helps Elizabeth and Carol too.
Until next time - and I’m sure there will be, bye for now.
