[Pro] FONT LEADING adding space at bottom of page?

I have set the body text on my site to Tahoma, 11pt left aligned. A nice clean font, however a little too condensed, so I added leading 150% which is perfect for my site.

However, when I look at my design in the FW pasteboard it looks A ok, but once previewed the space between where my body text ends and my footer bar at the bottom of my page is much bigger, almost as if the space from the leading has been added to the bottom of the DIV? Can I fix this and stop it happening whilst maintaining a nice, clean airy front!

I just tried removing the styling and the gap disappears, so it is something to do with the font or Leading!!!

Any ideas guys?

It sounds like the leading. Try adding a pixel based leading instead to see if that makes a difference. Also, if you have an online example we can look at it makes it a lot easier for people to see what’s happening.

Thanks Joe, that seems to have done the trick.

Its just a trial & error on matching the leading when converting from a % to pixel in my instance 150% equates to about 16px leading. Looks fine across entire site.

Many thanks
