I’m having trouble with the footer, what I’m trying to achieve is to keep the footer on the bottom which works, but when I resize the page the footer moves with the resizing.

The method you have used to position the footer 27px from the bottom works.
Just probably not the right method to achieve what you want.
An inline layout would be a good place to start so that the content pushes the footer down.

I agree - there needs to be content before worrying about a footer.
